ONESCO marks 50th anniversary
Cincinnati -- The O.N. Equity Sales Company (ONESCO), a Cincinnati-based full-service broker dealer and subsidiary of the Ohio National Life Insurance Company, is celebrating 50 years of providing investment and insurance products and services.
“Only a few U.S. broker dealers have experienced fifty years without a major change in ownership or restructuring,” said Pat McEvoy, ONESCO’s president and chief executive officer. “With an emphasis on personal service and support, we are the type of independent broker dealer that many advisors desired until their firms were sold or merged into larger conglomerates.”
ONESCO has about 650 affiliated registered representatives who provide investment and insurance products and services throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Despite a challenging external environment for broker dealers, ONESCO has continued to grow and overall revenue increased more than 10 percent in 2017. ONESCO has $10.2 billion in assets under management, and its Registered Investment Advisor assets under management increased 114 percent since 2012.
“ONESCO has provided uncommon stability in uncertain times during the past five decades, while also adapting to a changing environment.” he said. “And with an impressive fourteen representatives to employee ratio, we offer personalized support and attention. Advisors find that ONESCO supports their business and vision. We’re here to help.”
ONESCO continues to be positioned for growth through its commitment to customer service and support programs for independent financial advisors. Substantial investments in technology and business development resources have been made, and advisors can take advantage of unique programs to help them run a more efficient and successful business.
Tracing its corporate origins to 1909, Ohio National markets a variety of insurance and financial products through more than 75,000 representatives in 49 states (all except New York), the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and through affiliated operations in South America. An additional subsidiary operates in New York. As of December 31, 2017, its affiliated companies have $42.0 billion total assets under management. Products are issued by The Ohio National Life Insurance Company and Ohio National Life Assurance Corporation. Ohio National is proud to be named a “Top Workplace” in Cincinnati for eight consecutive years by Enquirer Media (June 2010-2017) and employs nearly 1,300 associates.
